2004-07-16 Branch builds

  • Fixed: 251473 - Allow extension authors to remotely bump maxVersion for a given extension version to prevent users from having to redownload an identical new version when they upgrade firefox where the only change is a newer maxVersion.
  • Fixed: 242254 - Implement nsIShellService for GNOME.
  • Since May 18: 248423 - config.trim_on_minimize no longer works.
  • Since ~June 2: 245327 - theme switch clears all tabs, disables their history, can't close these tabs.
  • Since ~March 15 or ~June 8: 246078 - URLs from other apps result in two Firefox windows or a window and an error dialog.

Windows builds: No official Windows builds because the branch was on fire (discussion), bangbang's O2 G7 SSE2, moox's builds

Linux builds: Official Linux, Official Linux installer

No Mac builds because the branch was on fire.

    Jesse, sorry to ask such a n00b-ish question…but what exactly do you mean when you say that the branch is on fire? Is that a good or a bad thing?

    I’m seeing a few regressions in bangbang’s build: “Browse…” button in file upload controls are missing their text, and bug 251781.

    I have fayt enabled, and swedish characthers () dont work, anybody know if there is a bug filed for this?

    FirefoxSetup.exe 0.9.0+ dated 2004-07-16 is there at http://ftp.oregonstate.edu, as well as Firefox-mac.dmg.gz dated 2004-07-17 .

    Jean-Marc: about the swedish , this worked fine before the new find toolbar was introduced, so i dont think it is that bug. Somebody filed 251891 i just saw.

    That fix only went into the trunk so far. (Did the fix work on the trunk? If so, that’s pretty cool, because it was a small patch.)
