As a non-developer, I don’t understand: why isn’t fixing the aviary landing bugs the top priority?

  2. Jean-Marc Gillet Says:

Some have a patch but lack a reviewer. I think it’s just a question of well-deserved holidays for many people of the engineering team.

  3. Dennis J. Says:

That’s what I thought but if you take a look at Ben Goodgers blog he has begun working on other stuff (like the new preferences window) already. One would think that they would first clean up the mess created by the landing before moving on to the new stuff.

  4. Ali Ebrahim Says:

James, because some devs are still on holiday. Also because right now they’re shipping Mozilla 1.8a6. Once the dust settles from that release, I suspect that fixing the aviary landing bugs will be a high priority. Certainly, I’d expect most of the major bugs to disappear before 1.8b ships.

Don’t bother; it’s another empty folder.

I heard The Sound of One Hand Clapping, as I clapped my hand against my forehead. Very Zen.

    Waiting is good.

  6. Jean-Marc Gillet Says:

Hank, your Zen clapping :-) was heard : there’s a 8.5 MB dmg.gz file now.

  7. Hank Roberts Says:

Yes! As of right now, this one:

    firefox-1.0+.en-US.mac.dmg.gz 06-Jan-2005 04:01 8.6M

It unpacks into an 0105 build:

    Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8a6) Gecko/20050105 Firefox/1.0+
