2005-08-14 Branch builds


  • Fixed: 222654 - Global/scrollbars.css for native scrollbars different on Mac (many Firefox themes break scrollbars on Mac).

Fixes for regressions:

  • Fixed: 292998 - Fastback/bfcache should be invalidated after a text resize.
  • Fixed: 304418 - "Save link as" and "Bookmark This Link" broken (since Aug 12).

Major regressions since Deer Park Alpha 2:

  • Since branching: 304608 - Automatic app update updates to trunk.
  • Since Aug 12: 304457 - Can't tab between location and search boxes.
  • Since July 31: 303267 - Back/Forward break JavaScript.
  • Since July 26: 302136 - Two clicks on "Install Now" button are necessary to install an extension.

    I’m noticing crashes at theregister.co.uk’s Week’s headlines sections on more than one machine/ OS on both the trunk and branch. The problem goes away if Javascript is disabled in Firefox. Any ideas on what’s going on?

    I’m too having problems with many websites crashes since 13th aug snapshot. A lots of websites crashes everytime you visit them including our internal website which is not that advanced.

    What is the difference between the branch and the trunk?
    Does this mean that the branched version will update back to the old trunk versions?

    The branch will become FF 1.5 and will end there. The trunk will be developed towards FF 2.0.

    BTW, since this blog will concentrate on the branch, is there something similiar that concentrates on the trunk development?
    I only know of the posts on mozillazine.
