2004-03-07 Builds

  • Fixed: 214893 - Mail Integration UI. Adds "Mail" button to toolbar palette, with a submenu providing convenient access to mail, newsgroups. Adds Ctrl+M to compose new message.
  • Fixed: 124307 - respect umask for downloaded files (Linux permissions)
  • Fixed: 235948(?) - Enable gnomevfs (on Linux). (What does this mean?)
  • Continued regression: 236711 - Options window is too narrow
  • Continued regression: 236619 - weird gray line under menubar
  • Continued regression: 236607 - File > Import crashes
  • Continued regression: 236673 - Crash when starting without a profile
  • Continued regression: 234966 - crash scrolling with mousewheel (for a few users)
  • Continued regression: 234576 - Autoscroll crashes (for some users)
  • Continued regression: 234717 - Right-clicking a in a *subfolder* of the bookmarks menu makes that folder inaccessible if nothing is selected on the context menu
  • Continued regression: 234116 - Context menu commands don't work in *subfolders* of bookmarks menu.

    GnomeVFS is a filesystem abstraction library allowing applications plugable transparent access to a variety of “real” filesystems, from WebDAV to digital cameras, to the local filesystem. It also contains a number of other convenient file utilities such as a comphrehensive MIME database / Application registry, and a copy engine. Use of GnomeVFS ensures that an application or component will be usable by Nautilus or other GnomeVFS applications for handling the display of data from various URIs, as well

    currently gnomevfs just means samba support. It still have issues to be sorted out though.

    Is there Tools|Mail and News sub menu as well? IE has it. Content of that sub menu is the same as content of Mail button dropdown.
