Anyone using Mac OS X official nightly, and also using Spamcop webmail? I get the “Document Contains No Data” buggy response attempting to reply to email, as of

    Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8a6) Gecko/20041220 Firefox/1.0+

This is a new way to get that problem, which used to come up only on attempting to more than a very brief bit of text to a Google “blogger.com” weblog.

  2. Jesse Ruderman Says:

FWIW, “Document contains no data” usually means “server closed the connection prematurely and unexpectedly”.

  3. Hank Roberts Says:

Thanks, with Spamcop (and Blogger) and OSX FF, the server is still there, and will always accept a smaller selection of text. “No data” there apparently means “too much” (or “too fast” — these are both sometimes very slow) — so I reduce the amount I’m trying to feed it — with Spamcop, usually omitting a small attachment (well within the allowed size); with Blogger, omitting whatever marks the end of a block (frame?) of text, gets accepted, but if I again hilight down through the end of the story, it again says ‘no data’.

Hank: sounds like bug 213339, although that bug appeared well before the Aviary branch was created.
