@Jesse

How come my previous comment ("March 12th, 2009 at 2:48 am") states "Your comment is awaiting moderation. " but there's 30+ spam messages here? ;-)

I'd say that a (re)captcha [1] is in need here... :-)

Regards,
Helder Magalhães

I'd say that SMIL animation in SVG [1] should also deserve some credit. :-)
To try it out, one just needs to set 'svg.smil.enabled' to 'true' in 'about:config' and may go for some bug hunt -- several SVG+SMIL samples are available [2]. ;-)
One should be aware that there are several known limitations in the implementation [3], reason why this will not be made the default, at least for now.

Cheers,
Helder

> On the other hand, I’m experiencing serious layout issues with JIT enabled for a while

This was recently reported as bug 481869 [1].

Hope this helps,
Helder Magalhães

> Please give these builds extra testing.
> The changes for synchronous XMLHttpRequests are big and scary [...]

Quick tests showed that sync. XMLHttpRequest seem to be running as expected. :-) Nevertheless, they are highly discouraged for a number of reasons...

On the other hand, I'm experiencing serious layout issues with JIT enabled for a while: apparently, missing elements during complex DOM manipulations. :-( Is anyone aware of such an issue? Links to pages and/or bug reports would be appreciated. ;-) I haven't been able to reduce a test case yet, although more information is available [1] (including steps to reproduce, although the samples are based in a widget library). Sorry if this sounds a bit off-topic but, as Firefox 3.1 is reaching beta 3, I fear that this may become the source of a lot of frustration if not properly isolated in time for the final release...

Best regards,
Helder Magalhães
