Brendan Eich and a few others have been working on them a lot lately. I get the feeling those crashes affect some users more than others -- I've only hit them during normal browsing once or twice even though I use Gmail a lot. You might try disabling any extensions you have installed, and see if that makes the crashes go down. If it does not, reinstall Firefox and check the box for "Talkback" or "Quality Feedback Agent". After you report a crash using Talkback, you can get the Talkback ID by running firefox\components\talkback.exe. Alternatively, you can include a comment when you submit the Talkback report, and then search for your comment using http://talkback-public.mozilla.org/talkback/fastfind.jsp.
