DennisJ: its a bug that was just fixed yesterday. from now on it "should" kinda work but #313764 [Firefox:Software Update]-Firefox does not restart after update [Win] is getting in the way right now on both branch and trunk.

DennisJ, how do you manually request Firefox to find updates? The update now button has been removed from the Preferences UI and I no longer know how to force Firefox to look for updates.

For the last couple of days my Firefox hasn't even been able to find updates. I was running a build from the 21st and when I tried to update on the 23rd Firefox said there aren't any updates available. Same thing today, I had to download the build from the 25th manually. Is this a side effect of release preparations? (Note: I'm running the Update Channel Selector extension and it is set to the nightlies channel)

This build cannot update itself, it downloads approx. 300KB file properly, the starts to updating process and after few seconds stops w/o relaunching Firefox. OTOH it doesn't screw anything, probably some rollback and FF is able to launch from 24/10 branch version. On subsequent check for updates - updates are still available.

Also, that network.IDN.blacklist_chars variable in the "about:config" URL on my locale(British/UK) using Unicode UTF-8 is " ¼½ǃ̷̸׃״۔܂ᅟᅠ           ․‧

‹›⁄ ⅔⅕⅖⅙⅚⅛⅟∕⎮⧶⧸⫻⫽⿰⿱⿲⿳⿴⿵⿶⿷⿸⿹⿺⿻　。〔〕〳ㅤ㈝㈞㎮㎯㏆㏟︔︕︿﹝﹞．／｡ﾠ" which looks anything but good. I remember it used to look in a more saner way(with starting //// and then some other chars). I am not sure Jesse whther that's all right or not.
