2005-09-13 Branch builds

Fixes:

  • Fixed: 308281 - Installer changes for Firefox 1.0.7 / Mozilla 1.7.12 to remove files from IDN XPI.
  • Fixed: 307340 - [Mac] Disable "Full Screen" UI for 1.5.
  • Fixed: 266769 - [Mac] Parent window isn't movable / draggable when sheet is open.
  • Fixed: 283598 - [Mac] New .dmg artwork with diagrammatic instructions.
  • Fixed: 287523 - [GTK] Insensitive (disabled) check/radio buttons can't be distinguished in some GTK themes.

Fixes for security holes:

  • Fixed: 307382 - Remove support for "security.checkloaduri" = false. (You can still disable CheckLoadURI for file: URLs on a per-site basis using CAPS.)
  • Fixed: 306804 - Security hole.

Fixes for regressions:

  • Fixed: 307569 - Extension compatibility check doesn't complete.
  • Fixed: 305227 - Up min/max version of XForms extension.

No major regressions since Firefox 1.5 Beta 1.

Pre-Firefox 1.0.7 builds

Fixes:

  • Fixed: 308281 - Installer changes for Firefox 1.0.7 / Mozilla 1.7.12 to remove files from IDN XPI.
  • Fixed: 308280 - Bump Firefox version on aviary1.0.1 branch to 1.0.7, GRE to 1.7.12.
  • Fixed: 301180 - Crash if you stop mail search and hit the search button again (Mozilla Suite 1.7.x only).

Fixes for regressions introduced by security fixes in previous 1.0.x releases:

  • Fixed: 302100 - Firefox 1.0.6 crashes when loading any page if PAC script uses eval.
  • Fixed: 300853 - CAPS crash on cleanup (35% of Mozilla Suite 1.7.11 crashes but only 0.24% of Firefox 1.0.6 crashes).
  • Fixed: 291178 - InstallTrigger.getVersion gone in Firefox 1.0.3.

Security fixes:

  • Fixed: 307259 - Buffer overflow with hostname of all soft hyphens.
  • Fixed: Several other security holes.

Aviary 1.0.x branch checkins between 2005-07-16 00:00 (~Firefox 1.0.6) and 2005-09-13 12:00

These builds contain most of the changes that will go into Firefox 1.0.7 and Mozilla Suite 1.7.12. Please help test them. Areas most likely to have regressions are proxy autoconfig (PAC), installing extensions, XMLHttpRequest, XBM images, arabic text shaping, window.open(), and IDN.

2005-09-08 Branch builds (roughly Firefox 1.5 Beta 1)

Fixes for regressions:

  • Fixed: 307235 - Compatibility checker checks endlessly (since ~Aug 31). (There was also a server-side fix, so users with older builds won't encounter this as often.)
  • Fixed: IDN blacklist doesn't work due to a bad patch for bug 301694. Fixed by backing out that patch.

No major regressions since Deer Park Alpha 2.

2005-09-06 Branch respin

New stuff:

  • Fixed: 306664 - Bump JS version to 1.6, for E4X + Array extra + Array/String generics.

Fixes:

  • Fixed: 306020 - Enable official branding and set version to "Firefox 1.5 Beta 1" for upcoming 1.8b4 milestone release.
  • Fixed: 306869 - Answers.com plugin needs to say "Answers.com" and not "Dictionary".
  • Fixed: 284713 - [Linux] Preferences are cut off in the default size preference window.

Fixes for regressions:

  • Fixed (?): 305032 - Edit commands not available to subsequent instances on startup.
  • Fixed: 307153 - Since 20050817: After closing a modal-dialog, focus isn't restored to the right element.
  • Fixed: 306076 - Edit menu in Compose window has many grayed out items the first time you use it after app start. (Fixes a mail bug, but the fix is in core focus code.)
  • Fixed: 306924 - Minimize/Restore window disables Paste in Edit menu.
  • Fixed: 306235 - Keyboard stops working on window restore from minimized state.
  • Fixed: 306493 - Crash involving Tamil, Jamo, and a few other languages.
  • Fixed: 306116 - Crash when loading glozy.com [@ nsContainerFrame::SyncFrameViewProperties].

No known major regressions since Deer Park Alpha 2. Be on the lookout for focus-related regressions.

  • Fixed: Version number / branding changes.
  • Fixed: 294519 - Should behave the same when SVG not built, SVG pref disabled, or no SVG renderer present.

Fixes for security holes:

  • Fixed: 301694 - Create IDN blacklist that include 'DIVISION SLASH'(U+2215) and 'FRACTION SLASH'(U+2044).

No major regressions since Deer Park Alpha 2.
