Hank Roberts:
The version number is bumped up to 1.4.1 for preparing Beta 2 (Bug 310615). Please do not confuse, these builds are not Beta 2. We have more than 20 bugs to resolve...

Igor and CooLynx:
Try newer builds (Linux, Mac OS X and Windows). 2005-10-01 builds have serious problems. Checkins for Bug 309335 caused this and the patch is already backed out.

Damn, mine too. The worst thing is that you can not upgrade to latest build but have to make all patches one by one. And now I am using Mozilla to post this message since Firefox has died. :(

I have the big problem. I download file: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/2005-09-30-06-mozilla1.8/http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/2005-09-30-06-mozilla1.8/firefox-1.4.en-US.win32.installer.exe
install it and run firefox. Further, I choice menuitem "Check Update". Firefox has found updating and has loaded it (~500Kb). I click the button "Restart Firefox". After that process of installation of updating has begun.

At me a slow line (dialup). The reason can in it? Process of installation of updating has informed on a mistake. After that uploading all product (6Mb) has begun. Firefox has loaded it. I click the button "Restart Firefox". After that firefox could not start. In the list of processes "firefox" appears with a size ~10Kb.

In a mode "-safe-mode" too it is not started.

I have offers for discussion:
1. Procedure of return up to the previous working condition is necessary.
2. It is necessary to have an opportunity of accumulation of several (for example, daily updatings). After vacation to result firefox in an actual condition I about 10 times loaded differentialy updatings and restarted a browser. It is a little tiresome. ;)
