I notice that selection-back-arrow bug with the official 1.0.1 Windows release; but at home I’m using Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050322 Firefox/1.0.2 from the Aviary pre-release folder and left or right arrow jumps properly to the end of a text selection. So, it’s fixed, ‘in the future’ coming soon.

I’m trying to get of sense of where the trunk is at vis-a-vis the 1.0 build. I used nightlies up till the 1.0 landing but haven’t since, on the advice of various people. Is the quality of trunk builds getting to the point where it’s usable by non-hardcore bug reporters?

there is still a rather large number of bugs present in these builds. see the (discussion) link under official windows. there's still seven problems from the new prefs window [though the whole "breaks every theme ever" issue isn't listed, because it isn't really a bug], and beyond that we've got 24 major bugs still leftover from before the prefs window broke everything worse than usual. it's getting close, but not quite ready for the casual nightly-build-user.

I’m a little confused about extensions with these nightlies. Do any extensions work, or do they all have to be fixed to work with the trunk builds now? I tried installing a couple, they all said they installed (they weren’t flagged as incompatible), but none of them worked.

All of the extensions I have installed (Thumbs, Search Keys, Google Pagerank Status) still work in the March 5 nightly I’m using. I think I installed them using a previous nightly.
