Hey guys, but is it normal that Firefox doesn't recognize "Local Switcher" extension? It used to work with older versions... Can't you put on the options dialog something to change language? It's the most useful thing that there isn't...

Has anone been able to actually use the OSX file?
firefox-1.0+.en-US.mac.dmg 03-Mar-2005 11:19 8.7M
I can't mount that as a disk image ("codec overrun") and when I install the app using Pacifist instead, it crashes on attempting startup.

I'd been using the 0225 1.0+ nightly build, last one I could get to work.

Last night, I found this 1.0.1 in the "hourly" builds, which seems to work at first impression:
Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050303 Firefox/1.0.1

Nope, that 1.0.1 had the bugs failing to open new windows and failing to quit properly.

Success so far unofficially --with Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050303 Firefox/1.0+ (PowerBook) - even though it's optimized for a G4 7400 chip and I have an older G3 740.

By the way, Talkback hasn't worked for me for a couple of weeks; has anyone had it workable?

> Firefox doesn't recognize "Local Switcher" extension?
Yes, since Bug 278534 landed, there are no chrome.rdf file (the profile one is the appendix). This breaks locale switching extensions.

You can also switch locale by using about:config.
Set 'general.useragent.locale' to your locale, like 'ja-JP'. Then, create new window (you do not need to restart).

Where did you get it-IT language pack? Is it compatible with latest trunk? You cannot use the language pack for 1.0/1.0.1 with latest trunk!

That error message is shown when incompatible language pack is selected.
